All information dedicated to the two professional days organised as part of the 7th edition of faraway – festival des arts à Reims will be available shortly.
Always striving for synergy and new encounters, faraway 2026 wanted to offer a space for meeting and exchange to several professional networks and institutions.
These shared moments – designed as festival journeys – are, each time, highly enriching for the participants, the networks themselves, and of course, the festival

This edition of faraway 2026, which focuses on Argentina, invites a broader reflection: the tensions currently crossing the Argentinian art scene remind us how much the freedom to create remains a universal stake, including in France.
In a context where ideological, political, and societal tensions are multiplying, the question of the freedom of artistic creation and dissemination is posed with renewed urgency. How can this essential space for expression be preserved in the face of pressure, censorship, or self-censorship?
This panel discussion aims to explore the multiple facets of this fragile freedom, through the cross-perspectives of culture professionals, artists, researchers, and institutional actors. Together, they will question the obstacles currently encountered by creators and programmers, as well as the means to resist attacks on artistic freedom.
Between historical reflection, sharing of experiences, and perspectives for action, this meeting seeks to place the artist and the freedom to create at the heart of the public debate and affirm their indispensable role in the democratic and cultural vitality of our societies.

As part of the Faraway Festival – Festival of the Arts in Reims, join us for a day of exchange and networking centered on the theme of transdisciplinarity. The program includes a round-table discussion, performances, and visits to several of Reims’ iconic artistic venues: La Comédie de Reims, Césaré, and the FRAC Champagne-Ardenne.
Designing a transdisciplinary project requires starting the collaboration long before the artistic object itself takes shape—especially when organizations with different expertise and from various creative fields co-develop the project. The goal of this round-table is to bridge these perspectives to shed light on the inner workings of coproduction, understood as the pooling of financial, technical, and human resources in service of a work or project. We will examine how coproductions are built from the ground up, as well as the potential points of intersection between different fields of contemporary creation.
