Cultural Actions - faraway – festival des arts à reims

cultural actions

Welcome to the section dedicated to the cultural actions of the 7th edition of the faraway festival! In 2026, faraway reaffirms its commitment to making live performance accessible to everyone. Discover the unique initiatives and privileged encounters made possible through our essential partnerships with the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA), Sciences Po, and the CEMÉA network, making the festival a true driver of dialogue and sharing across our region.

CEMÉA Grand Est Gatherings

FRI 06.02 > SUN 08.02

For this sixth collaboration, the CEMÉA (Centres d’Entraînement aux Méthodes d’Éducation Active – Training Centers for Active Education Methods) will bring together around fifty people, aged 16 to 70, from very diverse backgrounds.

The objective? To live a collective experience at the heart of the festival, following a popular and new education approach that is vibrant for the duration of a weekend!

The core idea of the CEMEA is sharing and emancipation through art, as well as education and sport. This is essential, and we are delighted to offer this collective immersive experience at the heart of the festival: watching performances, taking part in workshops focused on the artistic offerings, and participating in ‘à la carte’ activities organized within faraway’s various partner structures.

Over the previous editions, several institutions have already taken part in this great project: L’Arche in Reims, the CIEF, the IME La Sittelle, the CIAM, as well as several high schools in the region.”

REIMS LÉGEND’R

TUE 27.02

During the festival’s opening night at Le Manège, we will have the pleasure, as last year, of partnering with Reims Légend’R for a moment that is both convivial and unifying. We will host the region’s Ambassadors for an after-work event focused on networking and sharing.

This gathering is always a highlight: it brings together professionals from all walks of life, and for some, it will be an opportunity to discover Le Manège and the festival for the very first time.”

PARTNERSHIPS WITH URCA

For this third collaboration with faraway, the students of the Master 1 in Performing Arts and Live Performance from the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA) are mobilizing once again.

Midway between project management, performance analysis, and professional networking, they will collectively lead mediation and support actions aimed at student audiences, in connection with the new ‘Les Midis faraway’ program and the ‘Pass 3 spectacles’ (3-Show Pass).

The partnership with URCA will be strengthened this year through the bilateral France-Argentina program in collaboration with two Argentinian universities: UNA (Universidad Nacional de las Artes) and UNNOBA (Universidad Nacional del Noroeste de Buenos Aires).

faraway will propose a series of video screenings focusing on the history of ties between France and Argentina, and the social and political stakes of a multidisciplinary festival like FAUNA (Festival Artístico de Universidad Nacional de las Artes), which aims for creative freedom across several artistic fields.”

SCIENCES PO

As part of their Civic Engagement Program, ten Bachelor students in Humanities and Social Sciences from Sciences Po Paris, Reims campus, will be supported by the structures to discover the field of cultural mediation within the framework of a festival and beyond, and thus carry out actions directed towards students and audiences from the social sector.
