One of the great strengths of live performance is to allow the spectator to confront otherness. In partnership with Sciences Po, Le Manège invites audiences to think about and discuss the topic of the other with artists, researchers, and entertainment professionals.

On the occasion of the annual FARaway Festival, a number of Reims cultural venues welcome artists from all over the world to present their works to the French public, in an effort to provide a glimpse of other human and political realities. Some of these artists come from regions where art is not supported by the public authorities. Therefore, the opportunity to present their work internationally is a decisive lever, both in terms of the development of their own projects, and in their ability to support emerging artists in their native countries. The purpose of this event is to answer the following such questions: How can we best welcome these artists and put a true international artistic solidarity into action? How do entertainment professionals and spectators view creation from elsewhere?
