This positive yet provocative message catches the eye of passers-by, welcomes visitors, and conveys a special message to all facing adversity in today’s troubled world. Reflecting LOW PROFILE’s interest in determination, hope, and reassurance, this mantra (inspired by advice found in The Book of Survival, a 1960s publication that promised to mentally prepare its readers to “survive” any situation) is both a message to ourselves and a gift to others. The work also acts as a temporary beacon for the building in which it is present, signalling to those outside, that inside, there is a safe and supportive space.
