In a spartan interior with an eighties’ feel, featuring a carpeted floor and cathode-ray tube television, the conversation zings, the questions intensify, and a couple demand the right to withdraw from society. In order to create Sombras por supuesto, which can be translated as Shadows, of course, Romina Paula enters into a dialogue with the work of German filmmaker and playwright Rainer Werner Fassbinder, whose works have left their mark both socially and aesthetically. The talented author and director Romina Paula draws inspiration from real events recounting disappearances and police violence in her native Argentina.
