Young people speak out. They are between 20 and 30 years old and come from all over the world. They are trying to change the world, fighting for the environment, for minorities, for women, for their freedom… Aurélie Charon and Caroline Gillet met them during documentary series on France Inter and France Culture and invite them to come and tell their story on stage. From Algiers, Moscow, Tehran, Istanbul, Sarajevo, Beirut, Gaza, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Casablanca, New Delhi, Mumbai, Dakar… and from France, these young people come to share their stories and their desires in this theatrical radio show, augmented with live musical sessions and drawings made live by Amélie Bonnin. A breath of positive energy made in reality.

At ten o’clock, Tallinn is empty, suspended between two occupants. This silence of one hour, an hour precisely, marks the break between four years of war and a new Soviet occupation of fifty years. In the Estonian partition, it is not even a pause: just a sigh.
In September 1944, the Germans fled from Estonia, which they had occupied for three years, while the Soviet Union was preparing to invade the small Baltic state again. Some Estonians will try to infiltrate this gap to form an independent government and restore the Republic. They have only a few days to accomplish this mission; a ship sent by the resistance in exile must save them from the descent of the iron curtain…

Xavier Bouvet studied history and communication in Leipzig and then Paris. The White Boat is his first novel, the result of an ancient interest in Estonia and three years of documentation.
