Whether it’s a trip to a far-flung destination on the other side of the globe, a weekend minibreak in a neighbouring country, or your first day at nursery with only a small backpack for luggage, we all travel a little every day. Sometimes it fills us with enthusiasm and joy, but it can also make us a little uncomfortable, anxious, even homesick.
Battou is a show that examines how to feel at home in a constantly changing world. Two artists leave their familiar cocoon and set off on a journey together. On a musical wooden raft that boasts all kinds of hidden or unexpected sounds, they cross borders and experience different emotions. Step by step, wave by wave, they not only discover the complicated world around them, but themselves at the same time.
