Swedish comic book author Liv Strömquist will be the special guest at the Far Away Festival at La Cartonnerie in partnership with the Pop Women Festival. On the program a round table in the presence of the author and an exhibition on her latest album La Pythie parle vous, in which the author develops with humor and irony, a subtle critique of theories of personal development.

Liv Strömquist is one of the most recognized comic book authors in Sweden. After graduating in political science, she made her debut in 2005 with the album Hundred Percent Fat (2005), which dealt with issues related to gender, power and social injustice. Since then, she has published several notable works, including I’m Every Woman, The Origin of the World, The Feelings of Prince Charles and La Pythie parle (November 2024) at Rackam Editions which explore themes of sexuality, love relationships, Power dynamics and personal development. She is best known for her feminist and satirical approach to social and political issues.

His works, which have also been adapted into plays and audio books, have been translated into more than twenty languages and sold in tens of thousands of copies worldwide. In addition to her work as a comic book artist, Liv Strömquist is also an active voice in the Swedish media, where she regularly participates in radio broadcasts and debates on societal issues.
